Hi Kevin and all,

I second Kevin and Stefan's opinion. I've always found wxWidgets'
support for old compilers misguided. It holds back development, and
IMHO, it does so unnecessarily. I think that a better approach is for
the latest wxWidgets release to support the most recent version of a
compiler plus the prior release -- only. The web site can then
indicate which version of wxWidgets is compatible with a particular
compiler, e.g. want to use VC6? Then wxWidgets 2.x is the last
compatible version.

Just my two pesos worth...

							Hisham.
