[wx-discuss] SoC branches

Hi all,
    where do you think is best to split SoC branches: from HEAD or from 
WX_2_8_BRANCH?

HEAD is going many changes which break compilation from time to time, 
specially under less used ports like wxMotif, wxX11, etc... and that 
could be a problem if I need to test e.g. XTI compilation on all ports.

WX_2_8_BRANCH is more stable but XTI SoC project will require 
modifications to a large number of files (to move XTI code from MSW 
sources to common ones and add XTI definitions for more controls) thus 
we may then have problems later when merging the HEAD and the SoC 
project branches...

Which branch are other GSoC projects going to use?
What do you advise?
