<shameless plug>I was just going to volunteer that BitWise makes a good
working example of a cross-platform application. The only downside would
be that it's a much better demo with two people. But, on the plus side,
it does show the same app on different platforms interacting.</shameless

OK, that aside, I think "real" apps are even better than "demo" apps.
I'm not sure how impressive a dialog builder is for someone looking to
evaluate wxWidgets itself. Showing Audacity, BitWise, VLC Player, or any
other of the many [semi] well-known programs might be a lot more
impressive. There are more programs too, I'm not meaning to slight
anyone, those are just the ones that popped to mind.
