1 is a completely new library which uses wx. The wx codebase is left 
untouched.

3 is a completely new library but at the same time the wx codebase is 
modified as well. The more radical changes go into the new library. 
Smaller changes are made to a wx branch.

If you tell me _how_ you want to do something I learn a lot about _what_ 
you want to do. That is my reason for asking.
