Apps may need different levels of compatibility: (1) whatever limited
compatibility wx3 could provide, or (2) maybe just a few wx2 classes
such as wxDateTime, supplied in a separate lib, or (3) total
wx2 emulation with wx3 under the hood. So I think we may need more than
a 1-size-fits-all approach to compatibility, depending on a user's needs.
