I wasn't subscribed to it until recently so maybe this explains it.

 I really don't think we have an alternative though. I'm absolutely
convinced that wxTNG effort is much more than a single person could do so I
just don't see how could it be remotedly successful if we don't all work on
it.

 Of course, if we can't agree on what do we want from wxTNG, there would be
a problem. But AFAIK there was no disagreement yet -- and for a good reason
that there were no really precise proposals about wxTNG. I have a very
rough draft of one but I probably won't finish it any time soon, so maybe
it would make sense to start discussing what the others got without waiting
for it.
