[wx-dev] Menu Disable: Image becomes distorted

That was created using the codelite editor the default project.
Anyway added menu items to the wxWidgets minimal sample, and the problem
recreates there also.
Though little hard to recreate, sometimes you have to run the application
2-3 times to see clearly the bright areas.

It looks to me also that the background is not cleared, as told by timri.
