[wx-dev] Future of wxAUI

Hi,

I wonder whether it is a good idea to develop new applications using 
wxAUI. I started to add wxAUI stuff to one of apps (FlameRobin) and I 
really like its features, but I have a concern.

Is wxAUI going to be actively supported in future? It seems that list of 
reported bugs is growing, and I don't see much comments or fixes being 
made. Is wxAUI just dropped in and left for wx community to support?

All other areas of wx seem to have people that care for. IMHO, wxAUI is 
very important piece since people could base functionality of entire 
applications on it, and removing wxAUI would probably mean writing the 
apps from scratch.

I'm not criticizing anyone, I just wouldn't like to base my applications 
on something that might be abandoned in one of future major wx releases.
