 This is a Unix-only Mime type improvement to look at desktop files and
 override mime types with Gnome defaults, using defaults.list to reload
 Mime types over previously-seen ones.

 I've added the call to GetKDEMimeInfo even when the current desktop is
 Gnome, to force .desktop file loading. However I'm not sure if this is the
 right thing to do and whether it has unwanted side-effects.

 With this change, launching the app for e.g. PDF matches Gnome's
 behaviour.

 Comments/improvements welcome. The changes are against 2.8 SVN
 (2.8.8-ish).
