I'd go ahead and upload 2.8.4 or the version Robin tagged as wxPy_2_8_4_0

the things I'm committing are towards a 2.8.5 but this shouldn't be that fast, as I have even more changes coming to make sure things are running fine on 64 bit. I'm taking advantage of that to really get rid of the last reminders of QuickDraw and tuning performance for Quartz
