Initial Comment:
The horizontal scrollbar of wxRichTextCtrl is not implemented. As consequence, the control will wrap lines *always*, whatever style/code you try to apply. This is not documented anywhere AFAIK

All needed changes would be limited to richtextctrl.cpp (I think, I don't speak C++), seems an easy fix.
