[wxMac] spell checker off in wxTextCtrl by default ?

Hi

the list manager software doesn't seem to like my normal email address  
or whatsoever, so I'm subscribing with a different now

I've gotten a bug report and the more I think about the arguments  
brought forward the more I agree, that it is bad to have spell  
checking ON by default, so I'd like to change that to OFF, however  
turning on this programmatically seems a little bit cumbersome, so two  
questions

a) do you agree that it is better to turn off spell checking by default
b) should we add a extra style flag ?
