Initial Comment:
Instead of returning wxDrag_None when a dropping operation failed wxDropSource::DoDragDrop returns either wxDrag_Move or wxDrag_Copy (at least under MacOSX wxWidget versions 2.7.0 and higher).

Example:

dropping the text of the DnD sample into the window showing "Drop  files here!" results in a message "Drag result: moved" in the status bar.

does this still happen ? I've just checked with WX_2_8_BRANCH and couldn't
see it, got a nothing back
