Initial Comment:
When I add wxSearchCtrl a native control in a toolbar and I resize the wxFrame, the control become smaller, and smaller and... disappear.

Using wxMac 2.8.x

wxStaticText and wxTextCtrl have the same problem. When toolbar is created
with "wxTB_TEXT" style, this problem does not happen.
