I have some recent experience setting up WordPress for my family, and I
think that our SourceForge account gives us everything we need to host
it there, as long as SF doesn't have any restrictions on running WP...
We can easily have multiple people approved as authors, editors, etc.
and anybody can post comments to articles posted by these approved
authors. It has some support for filtering out comment-spam[1], good
image support, and a good collection of available plugins. Is that
what you had in mind?
[1] In my experience so far the spam filter seems a bit too restrictive,
although it can probably be configured better than I did it. About 2/3
of the comments from my Mom got filtered for some reason, and a few from
one of my brothers. Believe me, that doesn't send a very good message
to your mother! (Since the site has restricted access anyway I didn't
spend much time trying to find the problem and just ended up cutting out
the php code that was doing the spam checking...)
