Summary: OSX speed problems in ritchedit sample

Initial Comment:
There seems to be a serious performance problem in the 2.7.1 
wxRitctTextCntl. I am testing on 667Mhz G4 PPC laptop and the 
insertion of text into the sample document is very slow – it would 
cause user complaint.

1. Run osx-build of richtext
2. type a few characters
1. >> the response (feedback) of characters appearing and reflowing 
of text.

I could not compare this in 2.6.3, as the sample would not build
