Initial Comment:
Closing a wxNotebook (for instance samples/notebook) gives:

(wxnotebook:16759): Gtk-CRITICAL **:
gtk_container_remove: assertion `GTK_IS_TOOLBAR
(container) || widget->parent == GTK_WIDGET
(container)' failed

If you run with G_DEBUG set (as Gentoo seems to do by
default), this causes the application to abort.

So this bug is filed to remind leio to fix it, and
indeed the other warnings.
