Hello wx developers,
A slightly modified version of swWxGuiTesting supports now the latest
stable wxWidgets release (2.6.3) GTK2 build also under Linux -- tested
with Ubuntu Dapper -- in addition to MSW.
As worried about initially, the previously used free web hosting
provider has shut down the project web page
http://reinholdfuereder.portland.co.uk. Thanks to a friend of mine it is
online again since 27 June under the new URL
http://www.wefi.net/swWxGuiTesting/. Sorry for any intermediate
inconvenience.
There is still the outstanding issue of providing a tutorial/cookbook
that is more developer-friendly than the available thesis chapter. Due
to my limited time availability I think my last suggestion to apply
swWxGuiTesting on Francesco Montorsi's ComponentManager in the tutorial
("killing two birds with one stone") is not a good idea, as it is likely
to undergo quite some dramatic changes over the summer which will
realistically require more attention and commitment from my side than I
am able to spend.
Does anybody have/know a wxWidgets sample GUI application that might be
appropriate: realistic, meaningful testing constraints, moderate extent
and scope?
Thanks,
Reinhold
P.S.: I have darred to leave a little comment under
